Our Team
Small team, big impact—that perfectly describes the VAUX team. We’re a close-knit group, and every single person matters. Because only when all the cogs in the sparkling wine-making process mesh together do we achieve what we stand for. We discuss, experiment, and refine our exquisite VAUX sparkling wines. A strong team that’s a lot of fun.

Crafts
VAUX Sekthaus (sparkling wine house): This is the art of winemaking—in the vineyard, in the cellar, and especially in the traditional method of sparkling wine production – classic bottle fermentation. We are deeply committed to our craft, sparkling wine makers through and through. You can read here what makes a magnificent, wonderfully delicious VAUX sparkling wine so special.
With special care
The artisanal craftsmanship at VAUX Castle, carried out with exceptional care, results in the finest sparkling wine culture. This care is applied equally in the vineyard, in the cellar, and during the winemaking process. VAUX’s most exquisite sparkling wines are given a special finishing touch – a hemp cord, sealing wax, and a cellar label – that lends them a unique finish.
Our Vineyards
Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay are grown in our 7-hectare vineyards in the Geisenheim area. Cellar Master Maike Maria Münster is responsible for both the vineyards and the aging of our base wines. She oversees the grapes from the vine to the sparkling wine in the glass, supported, of course, by Joachim Renk (Operations Manager) and Christoph Graf (CEO). Since 2020, VAUX has been in the process of transitioning to fully organic farming!
Origin
Berlin, Metz, Eltville – the triad of these cities is our foundation and DNA. Founded in Berlin, the vibrant metropolis. In Metz, Lorraine—the origin of our name and the source of our commitment to quality. And in the Rheingau, where we found our home and put down roots in a unique sparkling wine terroir. Our history, spanning over 150 years, thrives with vitality in the here and now and looks forward to a sparkling future.
